These terms apply to all bookings made with Ouzoud Excursions, through our website, on WhatsApp or by email. By paying the deposit, you accept them on behalf of everyone in your group.
1. Booking
1.1. You book through our online form by choosing the offer, the date, the number of people and any options. The form shows the total price before you pay. For questions, special requests or groups of more than 17 people, contact us on WhatsApp (+212 661 454 738) or by email (booking@ouzoudexcursions.com).
1.2. Your booking is confirmed once your deposit has been paid (see section 3). You then receive a confirmation by email with the offer, the date, the number of people, the options, the total price, the deposit paid and the balance due.
1.3. The exact pickup time and place are confirmed by your driver before the trip, usually on WhatsApp the day before.
1.4. Please check the details in our confirmation (date, number of people, pickup address) and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
2. Prices and payment
2.1. All our trips are private. Prices are per vehicle for the whole group, according to the price list on our prices page. They depend on the offer chosen (private transport, private tour or premium day), on the size of the group and therefore the vehicle (1 to 7 people or 8 to 17 people), and on any options added, some of which are priced per person.
2.2. The total price is shown before you pay and repeated in your confirmation email. We do not add charges afterwards for anything that was included in that total.
2.3. Unless your confirmation says otherwise, the price does not include: tips for the driver and guide, drinks, personal purchases, and anything that is not part of the chosen offer (for example lunch or the boat ride on private transport, unless you added them).
2.4. If the number of people changes after booking, please tell us.
3. Deposit and balance
3.1. When you book, you pay a deposit of 50% of the total price online through PayPal, with a PayPal account or with a bank card through PayPal. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is paid.
3.2. The balance (the remaining 50%) is paid in cash to the driver on the day of the trip.
4. Cancellation by you
4.1. You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Your deposit is then refunded in full.
4.2. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the pickup time, or if you do not show up at the agreed pickup point (no-show), the deposit is not refunded.
4.3. To cancel, write to us on WhatsApp or by email.
4.4. Refunds are made through PayPal, to the account or card used for the deposit.
5. Weather and safety
5.1. If the weather or the state of the roads makes the trip unsafe on the day (for example a storm or a closed road), we offer you the choice between a new date and a full refund of the deposit.
5.2. The decision to postpone a trip for safety reasons is taken by us, with the safety of the group as the only criterion. We tell you as early as possible.
6. Changes by us
6.1. The timings given before the trip, including the typical day (pickup around 8:00, about 3 hours' drive, around 3 to 4 hours at the falls, return in the early evening), are indicative. Traffic, road conditions and your own pace can change them.
7. Pickup and timing
7.1. We pick you up at the entrance of your hotel in Marrakech. For riads inside the medina, where cars cannot enter the lanes, we meet at the nearest gate or car park the vehicle can reach. The driver confirms the exact point. Our riad pickup page lists the usual meeting points.
7.2. Please be ready at the agreed time and give us a phone number that works on WhatsApp on the day. If you are running late, tell the driver. A late start may shorten your time at the falls.
7.3. The return time is agreed with the driver on the day, within the limits of the trip booked.
8. Children
8.1. Children are welcome. Please tell us their ages when you book, so we can plan the day and the vehicle.
8.2. The paths at Ouzoud have steps and slopes, so pushchairs are hard to use on the way down and back up.
8.3. Children remain under the responsibility of their parents or accompanying adults throughout the trip, including near the water and the macaques.
9. Behaviour and macaques
9.1. Seat belts must be worn in the vehicle, and passengers must follow the driver's safety instructions.
9.2. The Barbary macaques at Ouzoud are wild animals of an Endangered species. We ask all guests not to feed or touch them, to keep their distance and to keep food out of sight. Our Ouzoud guide explains why.
9.3. Please respect the site, the local people and the other visitors, and take your rubbish with you.
10. Liability
10.1. We are responsible for the private transport and the services included in your booking confirmation.
10.2. Activities you choose to do on site, such as walking the paths, swimming or the boat ride run by local boatmen, are done at your own risk. Follow the advice of your guide or driver, wear suitable shoes and take care on wet or uneven ground.
10.3. We are not responsible for the loss of or damage to personal belongings, unless it is caused by our fault.
10.4. We recommend that you travel with personal travel insurance.
11. Tips
Tips for the driver and the guide are not included and are entirely up to you.
12. Complaints
If something is not right on the day, please tell the driver or contact us on WhatsApp straight away, so we can try to fix it while it still matters. After the trip, you can write to booking@ouzoudexcursions.com with the details of your booking, and we will reply in writing.
